Northern Trust has hired Sara Gilbert as senior executive for alternatives business development in Europe. Based in Luxembourg, she reports to Douglas Gee, head of sales for EMEA. Gilbert joins from AltaReturn in Hong Kong. She previously held roles at SS&C, SunGard/FIS, PerTrac, Financial News and the Financial Times.
