After a multi-year evaluation and selection process, BlackRock has appointed BNY Mellon to work alongside State Street as a service provider for its Irish-domiciled ETFs. BNY Mellon is expected to assume responsibility for about half of BlackRock’s iShares ETFs, totalling some USD356bn, providing depositary, fund administration and fund accounting services. State Street will remain registrar and transfer agent for all the Ireland-domiciled iShares ETFs, as well as continuing to provide fund administration and depositary services for iShares ETFs domiciled in Switzerland and Germany.
