HSBC has appointed Fiona Horsewill as global head of securities services. Based in London, she will report directly to Patrick George, the recently confirmed global head of markets & securities services. She will also be a member of the M&SS executive committee. Horsewill was most recently at Citi, where she was global head of data and digital for securities services. Prior to joining Citi in 2017, she spent seven years at Northern Trust, holding a number of senior leadership roles, including global head of product for asset servicing. Previously, she ran investment operations at both Lehman Brothers Asset Management and Insight Investment.
Horsewill’s appointment follows the arbitrary 2022 removal of the co-heads of securities services, Richard Godfrey and Allegra Berman. For the last four months, that role has been filled on an interim basis by Sébastien Danloy, global head of investor services.
