Following last year’s departure of Dan Houlihan, heat of asset servicing for the Americas, Northern Trust has taken the opportunity to reorganise its U.S. business lines across asset servicing.
Toby Glaysher, currently head of Global Fund Services (GFS) International, will expand his responsibilities to become president of GFS, adding the U.S. to his EMEA and APAC responsibilities.
Melanie Pickett, currently head of Front Office Solutions and the public entities and institutions segment, will expand her role to include asset owners, Americas covering all asset owner groups in the U.S.
Peter Sanchez, head of The Northern Trust International Banking Corporation, the USD clearing business based in New York, will take on an expanded role as head of banking & treasury services.
The two asset servicing divisions, Global Services (operations) and Corporate & Institutional Services (client and product), are merging to create a single, integrated business unit under the leadership of Pete Cherecwich. Jennifer Driscoll, head of securities services for Global Services, will move into the newly created role of chief operating officer for the combined group, reporting to Cherecwich.
