M&G Investments, the UK-based manager with c. GBP300bn (USD381bn) AuM, has appointed Richard Godfrey as chief operating officer for asset management, subject to regulatory approval. Reporting to CEO Joseph Pinto, Godfrey will join M&G’s asset management executive committee and will be responsible for all investment management operational functions. Godfrey was most recently global co-head of HSBC’s securities services and securities financing businesses.
