BNY Mellon has appointed Caroline Butler as CEO of digital assets. Butler joined BNY Mellon in 2020 as global head of custody after nearly two decades at J.P. Morgan. As the CEO of digital assets, she will continue to report to Roman Regelman, CEO of securities services and digital. As CEO of custody services, she spearheaded the development of BNY Mellon’s integrated digital custody and administration platform for traditional and digital assets, which went live in the U.S. for select institutional clients in October 2022. The digital assets unit was established two years ago, with Mike Demissie as head of the digital assets unit and advanced solutions.
