Citi has hired Joe Bonanno as global head of data, digital and innovation for its securities services business. Bonanno joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently head of analytics and data strategy, architecture, and platforms for its wealth management division. Fiona Horsewill, global head of data and digital, Michael Hlava, global head of data governance and business analytics, Ryan Marsh, global head of distributed ledger technology and digital innovation, and Henry Salmon, head of digital investments and strategic partnerships, will report to him. He replaces Chris Cox, who moved to a new role in Citi’s treasury & trade solutions group in 2021.
