Standard Chartered has agreed to acquire the trustee and domestic asset servicing businesses of RBC Investor & Treasury Services in Hong Kong. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is another step in RBC’s strategy to focus on North America and Europe. In 2020 RBC sold its Hong Kong corporate services business to SMP.
