Genesis, a digital asset servicer and digital currency prime brokerage, has received approval from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority for its Genesis Custody business as a registered cryptoasset business. Genesis Custody provides segregated multi-asset cold storage for full custody of client assets. In 2020 Genesis acquired Vo1t, a UK-based digital custody service provider. The Genesis custody solution has nearly 100 clients onboarded. Genesis is a wholly owned subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, a private investor in blockchain and digital asset companies.
