BNY Mellon has opened a representative office in Jeonju, Korea. This follows its 2018 appointment as global custodian for the fixed income assets of National Pension Service of Korea (NPS), which is based in Jeonju. NPS, which oversees South Korea’s public pension assets, is the world’s third largest pension fund. As of April 2019, it had total AuM of c. USD600bn.
